about Cat and Camera

My wife Heidi and I live together in the countryside near Villar del Arzobispo, surrounded by our beloved family of 10 cats, 3 dogs, and 3 chickens.

I grew up in a small village in the Netherlands, where my father owned a photography shop. From a young age, I was immersed in the world of photography—selling film rolls, taking portraits, and occasionally capturing animal portraits.

Though I initially studied painting and sculpture, my passion for photography grew stronger over time. After we moved to Spain, I found myself increasingly drawn to the camera, capturing the stunning landscapes around Villar del Arzobispo.

Photography became an integral part of my creative work, including art projects, dance, and concert photography. Eventually, it was only natural that pet photography took center stage—a way to combine my love for animals with my artistic vision.
